Here is a general summary of what our patients can expect when working with one of our Naturopathic Doctors

1. The First Visit

The initial interview is a 60-minute consultation with the doctor to discuss your medical history and health concerns. After a thorough case history and interview we will discuss the specifics of your program, including required diagnostic tests and questionnaires.

2. Assessment and Evaluation

During the second visit we will discuss how the initial treatment plan is progressing and review any tests or homework that was assigned in the initial visit. During this visit we may discuss some of the specialized testing/therapies that are offered at our clinic. Here is an example of some areas you will be evaluated in order to create your personalized program:

•Medical Lab testing

•Comprehensive Hormonal Assessments

•Systemic Toxic Load Assessment

•Functional and Physiological Testing

3. Your Personal Plan

The foundation for your health care program is now being implemented and we continue to support your health goals with education and other therapies. We will also assist you in prioritizing options since our program never relies on an all-or-nothing approach.

The Role of Symptoms

Disease does not happen overnight. In the beginning, our body gives us gentle “nudges” or symptoms to let us know that things are not quite right. Instead of blunting these symptoms with medications, it is important to listen to our body to find the root of the imbalance. Our naturopathic physicians guide and monitor each patient through the right complementary therapies at the right time.

By providing health education, our naturopathic doctors help patients understand how their life choices affect their health. Naturopathic doctors aim to provide patients with the skills and tools as well as natural medicine treatment, in order to help achieve the optimum level of health. They encourage and emphasize the patient’s responsibility to take care of their own health and well-being.

Over the last few years, we have invited several practitioners to join our group. Along with naturopathic care we also offer massage therapy, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, counseling, thermography, nutritional consultation, weight management programs, laboratory services and a full natural medicine pharmacy.

“It is more important to know what kind of patient has the disease than what kind of disease the patient has.”

– Sir William Osler
